Athos Rodolfo Giorgio Alessandro Menaboni, a scientific ornithological painter, was born 20 October 1895 in Livorno, Italy, and died 18 July 1990 in Atlanta, Georgia. Menaboni, often hailed as a second Audubon, came to the United States (1920) first settling in New York, then Florida, and finally Atlanta where he did decorative painting for the Swan House, a major project of architect Philip Shutze.
